2nd Grade Weekly Newsletter: March 30- April 2
Dear parents,
This week, the students read chapters 5 and 6 in Knight
at Dawn. They learned about the
history of April Fools, wrote silly April Fool’s Day acrostic poems, and also
worked in groups to see how many words they could make out of the words “April
Fool’s Day”. We also reviewed synonyms
and antonyms. The students began
learning the vocabulary for Lesson 9 in their Wordly Wise workbooks. During US Math, we reviewed fractions, money,
geometry, and telling time. Finally, the
students wrote a two paragraph Easter bunny story in response to a picture
prompt.
